Besut MP Officiating ATM At Petrol Station Draws Curiosity
For Hulu Besut locals in Terengganu, the new ATM at the BHP station is the closest one they have after so long.

ATMs are such a common sight in the city that we don’t really give them a second thought.
Although there are times when we have to hunt it down, we do not have to travel for hours like residents in Hulu Besut, Terengganu, to withdraw cash.
This was why it was such fanfare when the people in Hulu Besut received their first ATM at the BHP petrol station in Kampung Bukit Payung.
Besut MP Datuk Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh was at the petrol station to officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the ATM.

At first, netizens were amused at the energy invested in welcoming the machine. Some netizens helped to explain the significance of having the machine in the area for the locals there.
Prior to this, the people in Hulu Besut had to put up with an hour’s long trip to the nearest ATM.
Now with the ATM nearby, the locals don’t have to plan a whole trip just to withdraw cash anymore.
However, a netizen lamented the slow progress and development in rural areas since it still took time for the residents in these areas to get basic facilities and services like an ATM.

for bangsar bubble folks : its kinda a big deal for these people because banks other than BSN / Agrobank usually will not place any ATMs in rural places due to operating it being a hassle.

Bukit payung ni berada di hulu besut
Stgh jam nak ke bandar jerteh (ada atm), kalau nak keluar duit, perlukan sejam utk perjalanan pergi balik sahaja. satu nikmat yg besar bila mesin atm di ceruk kampung.
Isunya adalah ini tahun 2023..benda biasa di tempat lain, tpi LUARBIASA di situ..bukan nak menghina sebb mmg banyak manfaat yg diperolehi oleh penduduk dgn adanya ATM ni..tapi dah berapa lama baru nak ada ATM ni..?tu jaa..moralnya kesedaran ttg pembangunan lambat distu
