While the saying that kindness pays off might seem a bit on the side of philosophy, there is a definite cost benefit to acts of kindness.

And indeed kind deeds do pay off.

After going viral on social media for feeding strays, kind hearted Muhamad Faiz Basirun caught the eye of several brands that appointed him as their ambassador.

According to MalayMail, from the income he earned through those brands, the young man has managed to buy his mother a brand new Toyota Yaris.

Faiz now represents five products and added that he decided to give his mother a car as a token of appreciation for her sacrifices.

The youth, who resides in Langkawi, Kedah said he did not expect his sharing of rezeki (sustenance) with stray dogs helped to open up more opportunities for him.

Faiz was reported saying that he not only fed stray dogs but also shared meals with stray cats and monkeys near his home and during the month of Ramadan.

He would also break his fast with them.

Speaking to MalayMail, he said:

I just feel that it’s so unfair that these strays don’t have a home and are often seen scouring for food. The money used to buy dog or cat food is a combination of my savings or donations from animal lovers. I’ve been feeding these strays for almost two years now.

The 20 year old also shared that whenever he felt down, he would go out to buy a packet of dog or cat food to feed the strays and he would be in good spirits once again.

It’s a feeling I can’t describe when I see them — a combination of happiness and fulfillment. I also consider these animals my friends and would stop my car to feed them when I see them at the side of the road. The dogs have never attacked me as they know that I’m their ‘food provider’ and would start barking in excitement once they hear the sound of my motorcycle approaching them.
