Over the past few days, an account allegedly belonging to Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) Director Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has gone viral on the TikTok application.
With followers more than 70,000 people, many people believe it is Ayob Khan’s official account. This is because it also uploaded various photos and videos related to him wearing a uniform.
The account remarked in one post that “Ayob is not familiar with Tiktok and the account was created with the help of his child”.

However, recently, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) denied that the TikTok account with the name @datukayub8 belongs to Ayob Khan who will be appointed as the new Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this April.
In a statement last night (March 29), PDRM insisted that the account was fake. It is believed to be using Ayob Khan’s name and picture to attract followers on the app.
“Watch out! For your information, this is a fake account on the Tik Tok application that uses the name and picture of YDH CP Datuk Seri Ayob Khan bin Mydin Pitchay, Director of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department.
“The public is advised not to be deceived by the account and should always refer to legitimate sources to obtain accurate and authentic information,” the statement said.
