Busking For Charity: Artists Join Hands To Raise Funds For Ibnor Riza, Zaiton Sameon

Several big names from the music industry will take part in a jam session for charity called “By Friends For Friends” tomorrow at Santai Seni @ TAR.
Over 25 singers and performers will collaborate in the event which will run from noon to 5pm.
Santai Seni is located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, in front of Kamdar.
To be held in a busking format, the event is managed by Karyawan and the Department of Arts, Culture and Sports of KL City Hall (DBKL).
There will be a fundraiser during the event which will go towards helping singers Ibnor Riza and Zaiton Sameon.
Ibnor was diagnosed with lymphoma and is set to undergo chemotherapy.
Earlier in January, the New Straits Times said Ibnor was suffering from several illnesses, among them diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and voice loss.
Ibnor was a star in the 80s having various evergreen hits to his name such as Berdiri Seorang Perindu, Mimpi Yang Tak Sudah and Meneka Dalam Kesamaran, among others.
Zaiton Sameon, most recognised by her hit Menaruh Harapan, is an OKU card holder, having been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries following an accident over 30 years ago which claimed the life of her only child.
Among those scheduled to perform tomorrow are Rohana Jalil, Datin Salwa Abdul Rahman, Zur Eda, Haiza, Salimah Mahmood, Azian Mazwan, Jaafar Onn and Radhi Khalid.
