Satay is a local favourite dish. Every Malaysian will have at least once enjoyed the tender chicken or beef meat roasted to perfection and served together with the creamy peanut sauce.
Recently a Twitter user known as @adeihussin94 shared a post stating that his sister bought “a satey” (when it was actually 30 sticks) for RM107.
Not only that, the receipt was dated 2024.
Even the Twitter user only realised about the year after he posted it on his Twitter feed and later joked about it.
The sister purchased 15 sticks of chicken satay and 15 sticks of beef satay each priced at RM2.90 and RM3.90 per stick, respectively.
The bill came to RM107 which prompted him to ask the question if the price was too high, cheap or standard.
My sister buy a satey, cuma nak tanya netizen lah, murah ke mahal?? Ke standard ??? pic.twitter.com/efADZjCKZf

The grammatical error made by the Twitter user definitely attracted attention as well considering the post reached 1.5 million views.
However, many still took their time to reply to the question posed by @adeihussin94

Some of them also gave him recommendations of places where delicious satay can be found at a decent price.

It is always better to learn about the prices of the restaurants or ask for recommendations before buying if you do not wish to be surprised by their prices.
