MInister of Economy Rafizi Ramli said he and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim do not consume ganja.

Rafizi said this after news broke that they were sent a parcel containing a tube of toothpaste that’s believed to have cannabis extract.

I don’t know (who sent it). It was sent to the office and I didn’t open it myself as it was addressed to the prime minister and myself. None of us use ganja… so I think it’s a waste.

Yesterday, police were alerted about the suspicious package addressed to “YB Mohd Rafizi Bin Ramli & Anwar Ibrahim.”

The police raided the courier office following a report lodged by an officer working in the inquiry office of the Ministry of Economy after receiving a call about the package.

The package contained a tube of toothpaste labelled “Happy Green” with white and green marijuana leaf motifs.

The case is being investigated under Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 by the Putrajaya police’s narcotics division.
