On 4 March 2023, a Lexus driven by a 40-year-old man crashed into six cars while travelling along the Bukit Jalil highway near Astro heading towards the Selangor Turf Club roundabout.

In clips from a dashcam video of another car at the scene, the Lexus could be seen speeding in between two lanes, ultimately losing control and landing sideways on the road.

Netizens praised the driver of the Perodua Alza in the left lane for being alert and quickly driving to the side, successfully avoiding a collision with the Lexus.

According to the police statement, the accident happened around 10.30am and reported no casualties. The victims also escaped without injuries.

The Lexus driver has been detained by the police to help with the investigation. The driver tested positive for marijuana (THC) in a urine drug test at IPD Dang Wangi.
