Hannah Yeoh Shares Video Of Golf Programme With Kelly Tan

The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS) together with national No 1 woman golfer Kelly Tan, held a golf clinic on 28 February at the Subang National Golf Club (KGNS) in Petaling Jaya.

It saw the involvement of 52 participants from 12 to 19 years old from SportExcel, MYGM Academy and MyFutures Junior Tour. These young talents had the opportunity to learn and observe from one of our countries golf talents.

According to KBS, the purpose the program Up Close & Personal with Kelly Tan is for the nation’s top-ranked female golfer to impart her knowledge and abilities, as reported by Sinar Harian.

The ministry also stated that Tan shared her beginnings in this sport until she succeeded in becoming a national professional female golfer.

Tan begun her journey in the golf industry at the age of 12 and soon she became one of the best talents in our country when she competed in the Olympic Games.

In an Instagram post, Tan said that she is doing what she is passionate about and was overwhelmed with response from the participants in the programme.

KBS Minister Hannah Yeoh also shared a video about the programme on social media. In the video, she said that they took the opportunity to organise the programme while Tan was in town.

“I believe our athletes when they succeed in the world, they will be a source of inspiration for our junior players and children,” she said in the video.

Tan who is starting her eighth season in the LPGA Drive On Championship is still looking to achieve her biggest dream in becoming the first Malaysian to win the LPGA Tour.
