Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that registration for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) is open from today until 31 March 2023.

The registration allows people who qualify for assistance and those who were left out previously to sign up for the current financial aid under the Payung Rahmah initiative.

The data from the first phase of STR has been automatically updated in the government database along with the data from various governmental organisations to make the approval process smoother.

STR will benefit about 8.7 million people with allocations up to RM8 billion.

When will STR be disbursed to the public?

The first phase was disbursed on 17 January 2022 in stages.
