Malaysian Muay Thai fighter Muhammad Johan Ghazali Zulfikar dazzled at the ONE Championship event in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday with a win in the flyweight Muay Thai match.

The 16-year-old made his unforgettable debut at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium after defeating his 18-year-old Thai opponent Padetsuk Fairtex.

Johan aka Jojo caught Padetsuk with a left hook-right overhand combo in the face, causing his rival to collapse on the floor and giving Johan a knockout victory in just 16 seconds.

His win earned him 350,000 baht (RM44,569.01) as a performance bonus. Johan reportedly said he was shocked by his victory.

It was a dream come true for me to make my debut at a ONE Championship and a knockout victory is unexpected.

Johan, who represents Rentap Muay Thai Club, prepared for the ONE Championship fight by training intensively for one-and-a-half months.

I always wanted to fight in a ONE Championship. So, I trained hard to accomplish my goal. I trained about eight hours a day – four hours in the morning from 6 am and another four hours in the afternoon from 4 pm. Yes, my hard work paid off.
