Lee Zii Jia recently signed a two-year contract with LG Electronics to become their brand ambassador.

The world No.4 said that this move was taken to help him financially with his training and overseas tournaments.

Lee became an independent player representing Malaysia since he resigned from the national team in January last year.

According to him, this form of support from big brands will help him with his preparation for the 2024 Olympics, as reported by Malay Mail.

Lee’s passion, tenacity, and dedication to following his objectives and enjoying a healthy lifestyle, according to LG Electronics Malaysia managing director Justin Choi, are excellent examples of the brand’s essence.

He believes that with their cutting-edge technologies and products, Lee will pave the way for Malaysians to live smarter and better lives.

Lee has brought many honourable moments for Malaysia through his successes in the past but started this year with a disappointing result in the 2023 Indonesia Masters.

He faced an early elimination in round two when he lost to Ng Ka Long Angus 16-21, 22-20, 21-13.

However, Lee has now turned his focus to the upcoming All England Open which will be held from 14 to 19 of March 2023, at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham.

The 2021 All England champion will play Thailand’s world No. 33 Sitthikom Thammasin in the first round, but he will have to overcome Japan’s world No. 6 Kodai Naraoka in the quarterfinals, as reported by Malay Mail.

In their previous meeting, Japanese star Naraoka had defeated Lee in the first round before failing to defeat Dane Viktor Axelsen in the Malaysia Open final last month.
