A Tiktok video of a young kid giving his medal to Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh has gone viral.

In the video, the young boy handed the medal he won in a rugby tournament last week to Yeoh as she was exiting the Cobra Sports Complex and requested her to support rugby.

Rugby is a famous in our country, however it appears the athletes are not as appreciated as those in football and badminton.

The Malaysian Rugby League Premier was founded in 2004. It was formerly known as the MRU Super League.

Malaysia has also produced a talented team to represent the country in the Asian rugby tournaments.

One of the players from the national team, K Dinesvaran had the opportunity to be the first Malaysian to compete in the grandstands of rugby, the Major League Rugby (MLR) in the United States, as reported by New Straits Times.

Although we have such talented players in our country, they are still not recognized. There is yet to be a National Stadium for rugby although the planning for it began last year.

Upon completing the stadium, the rugby sports could have a better future in our country as it can open doors for international games to be held and also more domestic games.

The converstion between Yeoh and the young kid caught the attention of many people.

His only message and hope for the minister is to improve and support the rugby sport here.
