The athletes are going to take part in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix. The competition will see events taking place in six cities across four continents from February to May.

The event that is taking place in Dubai is the second event of the competition and is known as the Dubai 2023 Grand Prix – 14th Fazza International Championships.

This event will take place from 26 February to 1 March 2023.

Our country has produced many talented paralympic athletes. Their performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics was remarkable. They came back with three gold medals and also breaking the paralympic records for 100 meters, shot put and long jump.

They also showed a phenomenal performance in the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics.

The New Straits Times reported that they brought honour to our country with their best achievement in the competition by earning three golds and two silvers.

For the current competition, Mohamad Ridzuan also known as ‘Dek Wan’ won the 100m T35/36 (physical impairment) with a record of 12.51s in the first event at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix which took place in Tunisia, as reported by Malay Mail.

With such amazing achievements, they deserve more recognition and support.
