One of the activities was an alleged costume parade which caught the eyes of many netizens.
PAS Youth members from different state contingents who were eager to win the prizes in the parade pulled out all the stops.
Some of the creative and unique costumes they have come up with on the parade included a carnival train, a decorated motorcycle sidecar, a plane replica, and a DIY military cosplay (costume play).
Based on the pictures showing the award ceremony, some of the prizes awarded included Best Convoy, Best Camp, and Best Replica. There were also awards for sports games such as bola bayang and sepak takraw.
Some netizens appreciated seeing the creativity on display and said the parade was similar to our sports day parades and carnivals.
While it’s all fun and games, a few netizens also said the pictures of DIY military costumes spread online without context give a wrong impression.

PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari told Free Malaysia Today that he found it strange to see Terengganu PAS Youth members marching with swords and spears in hand in the parade.
He said he was only invited to the event’s launch and was unaware of the march until he saw the images posted online.
I just saw the pictures this morning, and I find it strange. I didn’t join them.

It’s clarified in replies that this was cosplay for a festival, & is being spread out of context in coordination by the usual suspects (idiotic “strategy” again?). So, what’s the difference then between these peeps & that fascist who tweeted a black & white pic out of context? https://t.co/7mNSUmw1Nm
