The Transport Ministry is digitising the services under the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and among the good things we can enjoy now is that private vehicles no longer have to display the road tax sticker on their vehicle’s windscreen.

Minister Anthony Loke shared the good news today where he said there will no longer be enforcement for Section 20 of the Road Transport Act.

The section states that motor vehicle licences must be stuck and displayed on vehicles.

This however is being done in stages and the first phase which comes into effect today involves private vehicles and motorcycles.

This simply means you no longer have to spend hours battling the fragile sticker in order to stick the road tax on your vehicle’s windscreen.

The digital version of motor vehicle licences and driving licences can be accessed via JPJ’s website or mobile app after users register an account.
