Man Who Beat Wife With Helmet In Kelantan Arrested – Tested Positive For Meth

He beat up his wife with a helmet because he didn’t allow his wife to work as she has to take care of his ailing mother.

Police have arrested the man who assaulted his wife with a helmet during a fight recently after the video of them fighting in front of an eatery went viral on social media.

In the 1-minute and 47-second video, the man was seen shouting at his wife on his motorbike. He even pushed, slapped and hit her with his helmet in front of an eatery. The wife was calm and endured the pain and shame.

As reported by Berita Harian, district police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the 35-year-old man was arrested in a house at RKT Kesedar Paloh 2, Kelantan at 2.30 pm last Saturday (28 January).

The suspect claimed that there was a disagreement between the two of them. He did not allow his wife to work so she could take care of his sick mother.

The man was also found positive for the drug Methamphetamine after the police did a urine test on him.

They confiscated the helmet that he used on January 26 to assault his wife.

Chon Foo said that the suspect will be remanded for 4 days until this Wednesday and the case is being investigated under Section 323/18 of the Domestic Violence Act 1994 and Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
