Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the large-scale New Year’s Eve celebration at Dataran Merdeka has been called off.

The annual celebration is cancelled due to the floods in the country.

Seeing that there are floods and the hardship of the people, the government has decided to cancel the large scale New Year’s celebration in Dataran Merdeka.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said in the press conference today (21 December).

Sambutan Ambang Tahun Baharu 2023 dibatalkan mengambilkira bencana banjir yang menimpa sebahagian negara.
