What’s considered a fun ride turned awry when three individuals got thrown out of a ride mid-way when it was still operating at a fun fair in Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam, last night.
Two women and a child were identified as the victim and were rushed to the Shah Alam Hospital in ambulances for further treatment.
As reported by Berita Harian, Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ramli Kasa said they received the news regarding the incident around 8.50 pm last night.

According to him, one woman suffered bad injuries while two other individuals’ conditions were unknown yet. Three ambulances and a fire engine were rushed to the scene.
“The case will be further investigated according to Section 6 of the Selangor State Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment 1995, which is operating without a license,” he further stated.
As seen in a viral video circulating on social media, the ‘Sotong Ride’ was still rotating mid-way when the three individuals were thrown off the red ‘car’ to the ground after hitting the safety bars around the ride.

The ‘Sotong ride’ or known as Octopus/Monster ride is a classic ride that can be found in many fun fairs. The ride spins while moving up and down at a slow pace. At the same time, each car at the end of the tentacles spins while the giant arms move up and down in a circular motion.
In 2017, 15 people were injured after a spinning octopus ride smashed into the ground in Thailand. There are many other news of accidents and mishaps from the same ride reported worldwide.
