Travellers who were excited to book flights on MYAirline were disappointed to find a glitch in the system when they visited the site last night.

The new low-cost carrier MYAirline had a rocky start when the booking system online failed to show any flights during its first-day sale.

Its CEO Rayner Teo apologised for the issue which was caused by unexpected technical glitches and massive online traffic.

So far, the airlines had managed to restore the booking engine, but travellers can only start booking for their Dec 2022 to January 2023 trips now.

They can book their travel for February to March 2023 starting on Tuesday, 29 November 2022.

As a goodwill gesture, MYAirline is offering an RM10 voucher for the next booking.

Previously, MYAirline announced they received permits to start selling tickets and will fly to three domestic locations from Kuala Lumpur: Langkawi, Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu.

More flights will be gradually added as the company grows. According to Malay Mail, checks on the website foresee MYAirline planning routes to Kota Bharu, Penang, Tawau, and Sibu soon.
