PAS Congratulates Anwar, Will Mull Offer For PN To Join Unity Government

PAS today congratulated Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan in a statement said the party was confident Anwar would be able to shoulder his responsibilities well in a just and merciful manner.

On the Prime Minister’s offer for Perikatan Nasional (PN) to be part of the unity government, PAS said they would discuss the matter with their components in the coalition.

They would also take into account the views and readiness of the rakyat on this matter, especially those who had voted for them in the 15th General Election (GE15).
