Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has exttended the deadline given to political parties until 2pm tomorrow.

In a statement from Istana Negara, Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the extension was given after requests were made by the heads of political parties and political coalitions today.

The King had previously given political parties until 2pm today to present the collaboration with the numbers to form the government and their prime ministerial candidate.

Ahmad Fadil said the King advised Malaysians to be patient and to remain calm until the process of forming a new government and the nomination of the country’s 10th Prime Minister concludes.

The King also reminded Malaysians that the administration of the country is running normally under the caretaker prime minister based on the principles outlined for a caretaker government.

Meanwhile, Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in a statement said the coalition had presented more than 112 statutory declarations (SD) of Dewan Rakyat members who support Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin being appointed the 10th prime minister.
