Commuters were already incensed when some of the LRT stations unexpectedly closed yesterday evening, a few hours before the going home rush hour began.
Rapid KL decided to close the stations as a safety precaution due to a fault in the train’s automatic system.

When Rapid KL announced that 16 stations on the Kelana Jaya line will be closed until 15 November today, the people decided that they have had enough.
Taking their complaints online, netizens have asked for the resignation of the current caretaker transport minister Wee Ka Siong and Rapid KL’s management for the company’s consistently bad service over the years.
They also asked for Anthony Loke to be reinstated as the transport minister.
A netizen who had been using the LRT since 2017 said the train service has always been riddled with never-ending issues such as out-of-service escalators and token machines.
Netizens demand for a change in the system after putting up with constant problems and inconveniences for years.
The frequent LRT breakdown and service interruptions put Rapid KL’s promise to carry out preventive maintenance or condition-based maintenance programme, as said in October 2022, to question.

To @anwaribrahim @anthonyloke dah boleh start fikir mcm mana nak tackle isu yg tak ada kesudahan ni. I nampak staf bawah berhujan jaga barisan penumpang yg beratur tunggu bas. Yg kt atas selesa tu yg geram. Makan gaji besar tp maintenance/mgmt out teruk! https://t.co/X73ZAwtMSQ— P089 BENTONG/N36 PELANGAI #CaregiverBerjaya (@nowthisisrita) November 8, 2022

What happened to preventive maintenance? Essential services are critical but you have no clue the impact to the public. The CEO should resign!— Robin M 🇲🇾 (@robinm1208) November 8, 2022
