There are always some risks involved whenever we dine in or order food deliveries.
Despite the food safety practices in place, customers have found a range of unwelcome ‘ingredients’ in their meals such as hair strands, cockroaches or plastic from food packaging.
This time, an unfortunate Twitter user Hannah (@hannahhmdn) found a disgusting ingredient in a meal she ordered.
Hannah said she ordered the kuey teow from an eatery in Bukit Bintang. While eating, she found a piece that looked like fried chicken skin and she put it aside to finish the rest of the meal.

However, her friend discovered that it was a used plaster when they wanted to taste the food.
Hannah said she felt disgusted because she had nearly finished eating the whole meal.
Grab has responded to her complaints online and told her to share with them the details of the order for action.
Oh my! 😫 I am sorry that the merchant has not checked on this properly during the food preparation! Please DM us the mobile number and booking number and we will have this checked. Thanks! -Zela

Netizens also shared their unfortunate experiences with ordered food. They have found foreign objects such as fingernails, a cigarette butt and even a centipede in their meal!
Hopefully, the people working in eateries will be more careful in the kitchen while preparing food orders.
Meanwhile, members of the public should be alert about the meal contents and report cases of food contamination to the relevant authorities and groups.
