3YO JB Boy Dies Of Suspected Abuse By Dad’s Friend & A Foreign Maid
The victim’s father, who worked in Singapore, had paid his friend RM2,800 a month to help take care of his two children.

A 3-year-old boy left in the care of his father’s friend died yesterday, and there are suspicions that the friend and a foreign maid had abused the child.
According to Johor Police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat, the child and his one-year-old sister were being taken care of by the 28-year-old suspect at a house in Skudai for the past three months.
Kamarul said that the victim’s father had paid his friend, who works as a salesman, RM2,800 a month to take care of his two children.
“The father works in Singapore and the mother works in Yong Peng.
“Initial investigations revealed that there were several injuries on the victim’s body, as well as bruises and a few cuts, however, we are waiting for a comprehensive report following the post-mortem,” Kamarul was quoted as saying by Bernama.
The victim’s sibling however did not suffer any injuries.
Kamarul said that the police had arrested the 28-year-old suspect together with a 40-year-old foreign maid to assist in the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Meanwhile, New Straits Times reported that the police have also taken the closed-circuit television footage from the suspect’s house and seized some items for further investigation.
