A car driven by a 32-year-old woman fell into a hole that was dug for the maintenance of underground cables on 28 September around 7.30am.

The woman was travelling with her 4-year-old son in the car on Jalan AU3 Setiawangsa towards Ampang when she lost control of the vehicle.

The car hit a row of water barriers on the left lane and fell into a hole in the ground.

In the video, members of the public could be seen rushing toward the car and pulling away the water barriers to save the woman and her child.

They helped to pull her son first before getting her out of the fallen car. Fortunately, both mother and child weren’t injured physically in the accident.

According to the police statement, the car had been safely towed out of the gaping hole.

The case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59 for falling asleep behind the wheel or failing to control the vehicle well.
