4 Rivers In Selangor Record High Water Levels, Flood Victims In Klang Move To Temporary Shelters

Currently, the water levels in all four rivers are seeing a downward trend.

Kosmo reported that four rivers in Selangor had recorded high water levels as of 7.55am.

However, residents in the area do not need to panic because the water levels in all rivers are still under control and seeing a downward trend based on data on Info Banjir Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS) website.

The Klang river recorded readings of 3.41 meter above the dangerous level of 2.2 meter.

Meanwhile, the water level in Sungai Rasau in Tugu Keris reached 3.90 meter above the warning level.

Sungai Tengi in Pekan Tanjung Karang and Sungai Selangor in Teluk Penyamun also recorded water levels above warning levels at 2.30 meter and 2.62 meter.

The water levels in Kuala Lumpur are all recording normal levels and are under control.

On another note, Pejabat Daerah Tanah Klang announced that they have opened two temporary shelters for flood victims from Kampung Delek Baru and Kampung Sungai Sireh.

Flood victims from Kampung Delek Baru should make their way to SRA Kampung Delek while those from Kampung Sungai Sireh Tambahan should head to Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Sungai Sireh.
