Pakatan Harapan (PH) has agreed “in principle” to contest the 15th general election (GE15) under a single PH logo.

According to Free Malaysia Today, the decision was made at the PH presidential council meeting that took place to discuss preparations for the general election.

The PH presidential council also pointed out that PKR has suggested that minor changes be done to the logo to rebrand PH’s image.

DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said the opposition coalition will discuss PKR’s proposal.

He added that the seat distribution matter among the coalition members would be resolved by September.

Previous problems with the logo

During the 14th general election, PH was forced to contest under the PKR logo when the Registrar of Societies (RoS) refused to approve the coalition’s registration as a body and its logo.

The RoS pointed out issues regarding the documentation provided by Bersatu, which was then one of PH’s component parties.

The issue of the logo cropped up again at the Johor state elections when PKR decided to use its own logo while DAP and Amanah opted to use the coalition’s logo.
