The police are tracking a man that was recorded cutting several Malaysian flags that were put up on the sidewalk in front of the Malaysian Tourism Centre (MATIC), reported Berita Harian.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that while no police report had been lodged against the suspect, the men in blue have started tracking the perpetrator.
“There’s no report (lodged) yet. We’re currently tracking the individual responsible,” he was quoted as saying.
Yesterday, a man clad in a red shirt and wearing a turquoise cap was recorded on camera cutting several Jalur Gemilang using a pair of scissors.
The incident was believed to have occurred during peak hours with many motorists on the road witnessing the incident.
Several videos had been uploaded to TikTok which went viral yesterday.
It was learnt that the man scolded several individuals who tried to stop him from continuing his actions.
