Malaysia Won Gold In Women’s Dota 2 At Commonwealth Esports Championship 2022

Malaysia’s Dota 2 women’s team defeated the England team and took home a gold medal at the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championship on 6 August.
The Malaysian team comprised of Tan “Shizuma” Lyn Xhin, Wong “HG” Wei Sian, Stephanie “Auroraa” Lim, Nadrah “Nada” Saufi and Bette “iStarx” Chia put up a stiff competition against the English team of Gimmick, Karenlyl, Bellemiku, Ruby, and Always-Changing.
According to Esports.gg, the Malaysian team beat the English Women’s team in two straight games and won the best-of-three matchup 2-0.
With this win, England is left with the Silver medal while Singapore took the Bronze after defeating Australia earlier in the day.
Prior to this, Malaysia also won another gold medal in the eFootball (Open) Grand Finals.
Stadium Astro reported that Nor Haikal Noh, who represented Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), defeated his Scottish opponent 2-0.

Malaysia has a chance of winning a third gold medal when they take on England in the Dota 2 (Open) Grand Finals on Sunday.
They are being represented by William “MangO” Yeoh, Denise “Wonder’boy” DanialAbdullah, Chung “Ws`” Wei Shen, Ahmad “Ahyad” Ayhad Husam, Pang “ponyo” Sze Xuan, and Yong “LOyd” Bing Jie.
