With the emergence of social media platforms such as Smule and Tiktok, there are a lot of aspiring artists out there posting videos of them covering new and old songs alike, with a fresh take.

While some do it for fame and money, others just wanted to pass time while there are also those that just do it for the laugh.

Whatever the reason they chose to share their artistry take with the public, not every day do these hopeful singers catch the attention of veteran rock artists.

Recently, Bumiputra Rockers frontman, Johari Mat Rozekhi, better known as Joey, shared a video of a man rocking the “Tiara” song made popular by the band Kris in 1991 – albeit with a very unique style – by mimicking the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee.

Joey applauds the man’s fresh take on the song, saying that it really rolls back old memories.

The video had since been shared almost 4,000 times by Facebook users with the majority of them saying that the man’s cover of the song was lit.
