A father of two, Lee Ming How, was allegedly beaten to death by his wife at their home in Taman Daya, Johor Baru around 7.50am yesterday (15 July).

New Straits Times reported that the 44-year-old victim was found lying face down on the floor at their home in Flat Paya Nipah with injuries to the face and head.

According to Malay Mail, Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said there were stab wounds and bandages on the victim’s legs.

It’s believed that his 36-year-old wife allegedly struck him with a blunt weapon. They have two children, aged 2 and 11.

The victim’s son was in the house when the incident occurred and is the main witness in the case.

The suspect has been detained and remanded for seven days until 22 July. Reports indicate that the children are under the care of the victim’s family.

Investigators also found syabu and drug-related equipment in the house. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.

In addition, she has three previous records, including two drug-related cases and one criminal case of causing injury.

The motive of the murder is still under investigation. Police are also tracking a man believed to be involved in the case to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
