63YO Man Gunned Down By Unknown Assailant After A Game Of Mahjong In Mont Kiara

A witness heard three gunshots before finding the victim on the ground beside his car.

A 63-year-old man was shot dead by an unknown individual, after leaving his friend’s house in Amarin Kiara at midnight last night.

According to Free Malaysia Today, the elderly man had just left his friend’s house after finishing playing mahjong before he was gunned down.

The report said that the man’s car was parked outside Amarin Kiara’s residential area.

“A witness saw the victim crossing the road towards the car park. Shortly after that, the witness heard three gunshots from the car park and saw the victim on the ground near his car,” Brickfields police chief, Assistant Commissioner Amihizam Abdul Shukor was quoted by the news portal.

 The victim, a retired businessman, had no prior criminal record.

The motive of the incident is still under investigation and the case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Amihizam also urges the public who have information regarding the incident to call the Brickfields police hotline at 03-2297 9222, the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at 03-2115 9999, or to relay the information at any police station nearby.
