24YO Klang Man Arrested By Police For Killing His Form Four Girlfriend

The suspect was believed to have smothered his girlfriend following an argument that broke inside of his room.

Police have remanded a 24-year-old unemployed man suspected of killing his 16-year-old girlfriend at his family’s house in Kampung Idaman, Pandamaran, in Klang yesterday morning.

According to South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, the victim, a Form Four student, was believed to be suffocated to her death after she was smothered with a pillow, following an argument with her boyfriend.

He added that based on preliminary investigations, the victim was killed inside of the man’s room before he carried her body outside.

The suspect sought help from his family members who were asleep during the incident. His family members then alerted the police of the incident.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team,” Cha was quoted as saying by Harian Metro.

Cha also added that scratches and bruises were found on the victim’s face and neck.

“The post-mortem result found that the cause of death was due to suffocation as a result of being smothered with a pillow,” he said, adding that the pillow suspected of being used in the attack had been seized by the police.

Cha also said that the deceased had been dating the suspect for over a year and their relationship is known to the suspect’s family, adding that the suspect has taken the victim to his family’s house several times before.

The suspect will be remanded until 3 July to assist in the investigation which is being carried out in accordance with Section 302 of the Penal Code.
