The new MRT Putrajaya Line will be developed in two phases and will serve about two million residents from Kwasa Damansara all the way to Putrajaya.

The MRT Putrajaya line is comprised 12 stations between Kwasa Damansara and Kampung Batu, and can be used by the public from 3pm today.

Free Malaysia Today reported that Phase 2 of the MRT line will pass through “strategic areas” in the Kuala Lumpur city centre such as Titiwangsa, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Ampang Park, and the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).

It’s also hoped that the new line will help ease traffic congestion in the city.
