Don’t Come To Nagaenthran’s Funeral, Family Member Tells Politicians
Nagaenthran said that family members had struggled for years but nobody comes to their aid.

Politicians and lawmakers are not welcome at Nagaenthran Dharmalingam’s funeral which is set to take place tomorrow.
According to The Vibes, Nagaenthran’s eldest sister Sarmila Dharmalingam said that it is best for politicians to refrain from attending the wake.
“They all come for publicity,” she was quoted as saying.
“We don’t need their help. We don’t want any politicians to come. We have struggled for years but no one came to help us.
“With donations from Singaporeans, we have funds to manage everything,” she added.

Meanwhile, around 50 family members and friends were left waiting for Nagaenthran’s remains at his family residential in Tanjung Rambutan yesterday.
His remains were scheduled to arrive before midnight but were delayed due to heavy rains and traffic in Johor Bahru.
Nagaenthran, 34, was executed in Singapore earlier yesterday, 12 years after he was found guilty of trafficking 42.72g of heroin in 2009 into Singapore.

His case had attracted a global audience especially as it was said that his IQ was found to be at 69, a level recognised as an intellectual disability.
