A senior citizen today pleaded guilty in Johor Bahru Sessions Court to the charge of having sex with a cat, causing its death.
Janting Keling, 63, was accused of committing the offence at the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah housing area, Skudai at 4.30 am last on 16 April.
He pleaded guilty to the offense under Section 377 of the Penal Code before Judge Fatimah Zahari.
If found guilty, Janting faces a jail term up to 20 years and fine or whipping.
The court fixed 25 May for the sentencing as the prosecution requested time for the submission of documents.
He was offered bail of RM15,000 with one surety and the condition that he must report himself to the nearest police station.
Janting, who was not represented, however, asked for a reduced sum as he was unemployed.
He explained that he was from Sarawak and had recently come to Johor and was staying with his daughter.
The court then allowed the accused bail of RM6,000 with one surety.
