Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun have vowed to help and prepare temporary accommodation for the residents of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) Sungai Baru Flat in Kampung Baru who had been served eviction notices recently.
The Titiwangsa MP said that her side is currently reviewing the form of assistance that they can offer to the affected group.
“Of course, in this month of Ramadan, we want at least a place to live for the residents of the Sungai Baru PKNS Flats who have recently received Form K, which is a notice of land ownership or vesting of parcels.
“It is currently under review and we will definitely help them as much as possible,” Rina was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
It was previously reported that 40 families living in the Sungai Baru PKNS Flats were instructed to vacate their homes after they were served with Form K.
The Kampong Bharu Development Corporation (PKB), as the right holder to the apartment involved in the land acquisition for the Kampung Sungai Baru redevelopment project, had also stated that the affected residents can continue living in their house until 31 July.
