All travellers entering Saudi Arabia will no longer need to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination, take a PCR test before flying into the country, or observe quarantine requirements upon arrival.
This was announced by Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry yesterday via Twitter on Monday.
According to the news report, the decision was made following the decline of positive Covid-19 cases in the country in addition to the high vaccination rate among its population which stands at 99% for those 12 years or older.
In March, the Saudi government lifted the need to wear face masks and to observe social distancing in public except at all mosques throughout the country including the two holly mosques in Mecca and Medina.
The Saudi government suspended umrah for about seven months due to the Covid-19 pandemic between March and October 2020.
