The Toyota Hilux driver who allegedly drove dangerously and almost caused a road collision at KM138.7 of the North-South Expressway, southbound on 18 March had turned himself in yesterday.
The suspect, a 30-year old local man, surrendered himself at the Seberang Perai Tengah (SPT) District Police Headquarters at 11.30 am.
“Investigation is in progress and the case is investigated under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” the SPT police chief ACP Shafee Abd Samad was quoted as saying by Bernama.
A video recording showing a white Hilux bearing the plate number PMX 3338 being driven dangerously and almost causing an accident went viral on social media.
In the one-minute and 35 seconds video, the Hilux is seen on several occasions trying to ram into another car and almost made it crash into a lorry that was parked in the emergency lane.
