According to the police statement, they found Pavitra along with a 17-year-old female friend at a bus stop in Kajang, Selangor around 3.30am yesterday (19 February).

The police checked the identification cards (ICs) of both girls and discovered that one of them is Pavitra, the girl who was missing.

The police said Pavitra ran away from home and used an e-hailing service to meet her friend in Kajang, and stayed at her friend’s house for almost six days.

Pavitra has been sent to Hospital Bentong for a health checkup.

Bentong police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar advised parents to be alert and take notice of their children’s behaviour.

He also encouraged children to communicate and discuss any problems with their parents or guardian and to refrain from making hasty decisions that may put them or the adults in charge in trouble.
