Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin recently tweeted that the registration for PICKids has risen to 663,641 and that vaccination in schools might soon take place.
The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force – Children (CITF-C) will announce the launch of vaccination for children in their respective schools soon.
Khairy added that the registration for vaccination will be done by the school and children will be able to get vaccinated with their friends.
According to Berita Harian, the highest number of vaccination registrations is recorded in Selangor with 184,000 children, followed by Johor (103,000) and Kuala Lumpur (70,000) to date.
PICKids was launched on 3 February for children from 5 to 11 years old. The children will receive one-third of the Pfizer Comirnaty adult dose.
PICKids is also carried out on a voluntary basis and no restrictions will be imposed on unvaccinated children.
