New MySejahtera Feature ‘MySJ Trace’ Does Away With ‘Check Out’ Button, Helps With Contact Tracing

It operates via Bluetooth and we don’t need to hit Check Out anymore.

The latest feature in MySejahtera, known as MySJ Trace, will be doing away with the Check Out feature altogether.

According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, MySJ Trace uses Bluetooth technology to trace close contacts.

The public is encouraged to use the new feature when indoor at public places.

If anyone tested positive, they can send the data to the Health Ministry for contact tracing to be done.

Khairy added that all interaction data is anonymised. The feature only works if the individual gives permission for the app to track via Bluetooth.

So far, the feature has been updated on Huawei phones. The update will be available on Google and Apple soon.

It looks like we don’t need to remember to click the Check Out button in MySejahtera soon!
