The Klang Valley is on the fast track to lifting restrictions as the government announced tonight that Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya will be moving into Phase 3 beginning 1 October 2021.
The announcement also notes that Melaka will move from Phase 2 to Phase 3, while Kedah will move from Phase 1 to Phase 2. This means that there will be no more states left in Phase 1.

The Klang Valley moving to Phase 3 means that all economic activities will be allowed to operate, even entertainment industries such as the cinema, theatre, live performances, theme parks, sports events, and more.
Spas, beauty saloons, and other grooming services will also be allowed to operate by appointment only.
However, nightlife such as pubs and clubs are still not allowed to operate. Interstate travel is also not allowed.
Klang Valley’s adult population has been fully vaccinated, and has also seen lowering Covid-19 cases.
