Tourist attractions like zoos, aquariums, agriculture centres, and taman rimba including will be allowed to operate starting 1 October in states currently in Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
Activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, and recreational fishing are allowed as well.
According to this latest Phase 2 NRP update, dated 24 September, the only stipulation is that everyone, including the operator, staff, and visitors must be fully vaccinated.
That means the operators must make sure that their staff is fully vaccinated before they could open their premises and only fully vaccinated visitors can visit the premises and partake in the activities.
So, if you want to visit the animals next month, remember to get vaccinated.
However, the SOP does not specify if children 17 and under who are not vaccinated can visit these premises or partake in these activities.
You are only considered fully vaccinated two weeks (14 days) after your second dose vaccination or 28 after your one dose vaccination. It should say full vaccination on your Digital Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate on the MySejahtera app.
