Putrajaya played host to the grand finale of this year’s MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day (MBD) 2026, which concluded a nationwide event that brought together more than 75,000 Malaysians across six states.

Held at Dataran Putrajaya, the event welcomed around 25,000 participants and MILO® lovers for a morning filled with fun runs, sports activities and family-friendly experiences, while promoting healthier breakfast habits and more active lifestyles.

Healthy Habits Start With Small Daily Choices

Participants of the 5KM fun run kick off their journey with excitement and enthusiasm, embracing a morning of movement, family bonding and active living.

For over a decade, MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day has encouraged Malaysians to kick-start their mornings with a nutritious breakfast and make physical activity part of their everyday routine.

Nestlé Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei CEO Juan Aranols said it was especially encouraging to see families returning to the event year after year, with parents, children and even grandparents taking part together.

According to him, moments like these show that healthy habits are built through simple everyday choices, whether it’s enjoying a nutritious breakfast together or making time to stay active as a family. He also thanked the Government for its continued support in promoting sports and wellness initiatives across the country.

The nationwide event reflects MILO’s long-standing commitment to encouraging healthier lifestyles while creating opportunities for families to bond through shared experiences that extend beyond the finish line.

Inspiring The Next Generation Through Sport

Beyond encouraging healthier routines at home, the event also highlights how sports can help nurture confidence, resilience and teamwork among young Malaysians.

A memorable moment as YB Tuan Mordi Anak Bimol, Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports Malaysia (middle), joins participants and young runners inside the MILO® Goodness Truck at MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 Putrajaya, for an immersive experience that takes Malaysians on a sensory journey to discover how the iconic chocolate malt drink is made.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports YB Tuan Mordi anak Bimol said initiatives like MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day provide a meaningful platform for youths and families to embrace active lifestyles while building a stronger appreciation for sports and physical activity.

He added that collaborations between the public and private sectors play an important role in creating healthier communities and inspiring more young people to stay active.

By combining sports, community participation and family engagement, the event continues to support the shared goal of making active living more accessible and enjoyable for Malaysians of all ages.

A Community Celebration Beyond The Run

A group of friends bring wings, tutus and endless energy to the streets of Putrajaya, just as they did last year, they continue to show that MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 is as much about fun as it is about creating memories and staying active together.

The Putrajaya finale wasn’t just about clocking kilometres. It also celebrated the sense of community that has become a hallmark of MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day over the years.

Participants arrived in colourful costumes, including fairy-inspired outfits and even a dinosaur suit, adding a playful touch to the event while entertaining fellow runners throughout the morning. Others travelled from different states or gathered large groups of family members and friends, turning the run into a memorable weekend outing.

Among them was 24-year-old Tan Li Yuet, who participated alongside 35 family members and friends. Having joined the event multiple times since childhood, she shared that the annual run has become a meaningful tradition that allows her loved ones to stay active while creating new memories together.

The event also welcomed four educators who returned for their second consecutive MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day. They said they hoped to inspire their students to embrace healthier lifestyles by leading through example, proving that small habits like staying active and eating a nutritious breakfast can make a difference.

Joyce Teoh, 33, travelled all the way from Penang, showed up in a dinosaur costume to spread smiles, celebrate her love for MILO® ️ Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 and remind everyone that staying active is even better when you do it with joy, creativity and friends.

Since its launch in 2013, MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day has grown into one of Malaysia’s largest community wellness initiatives, bringing together thousands of people through sports, family activities and healthier living.

With this year’s event concluding in Putrajaya, MILO® hopes to continue inspiring more Malaysians, especially the younger generation, to embrace active lifestyles and nutritious breakfast habits while strengthening family and community bonds for years to come.
