Resorts World Genting (RWG) and its flagship luxury property, Crockfords, have placed among the top regional properties at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026.

The integrated highland resort was recognized in the regional “Best Integrated Resorts” category, while Crockfords secured a placement within the “Best Beach, Island + Upcountry Resorts” category for Malaysia.

The annual awards program, organized by Travel + Leisure, identifies standout properties across the Asia Pacific travel and hospitality sectors.

Travelers & Readers Voted For The Winner

Unlike industry-voted accolades, these awards rely on a readers’ choice format where travelers and publication subscribers vote directly on service standards, infrastructure, and overall guest experience.

RWG’s inclusion in the integrated resorts shortlist reflects its massive footprint in the Genting Highlands, where its combined ecosystem of hotels, retail spaces, dining options, and theme parks draws millions of visitors annually.

Meanwhile, the recognition for Crockfords highlights the resort’s higher-end hospitality segment. Operating as RWG’s premier luxury hotel, Crockfords focuses on boutique accommodations and personalized services designed to offer a quieter retreat separate from the high-traffic entertainment hubs nearby.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Spencer Lee, RWG’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Public Relations, acknowledged the recognition, attributing the placement to the ongoing operational efforts of the resort’s staff.

He noted that the traveler-voted awards serve as a performance indicator for the brand as it continues to upgrade its hospitality infrastructure and adapt to changing regional tourism trends.

The 2026 accolades follow consecutive years of placements for the Genting Highlands properties in the same categories, signaling their stable positioning within Malaysia’s competitive upcountry tourism market.

Moving forward, the resort group plans further capital investments into its core attractions to maintain its standing among Asia Pacific’s largest leisure destinations.
