Carlsberg showed up at Delish Food Village in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, this morning (7 July) with big screens, breakfast cocktails, live drummers, and confetti — turning a regular Tuesday kopitiam into a full football matchday experience.

The event is part of Carlsberg’s Kopiti.AM series, which has already rolled through Penang and Ipoh before landing in Kuala Lumpur for the first time today.

The idea is simple: football, breakfast, and a neighbourhood coffee shop

Very Malaysian.

Fans got lucky draws, an AI photo booth, a Kopi-Cart serving Carlsberg Breakfast Cocktails alongside classic Kaya Butter Toast, and a Cheer Squad performing between quarters.

Halftime brought out live drummers, pom poms, and confetti blasts — and the match on the big screen delivered.

Belgium dismantled the co-hosts, the USA, 4-1 in the Round of 16, ensuring plenty of roars and groans in equal measure across the food court.

The Party Doesn’t Stop at Breakfast

The Kopiti.AM series isn’t done yet.

“Football goes beyond what happens on the pitch. It is about the moments fans share together — from the anticipation before kick-off to the celebrations that unfold after every goal. Through the Carlsberg Kopiti.AM, we aim to bring football closer to fans in a way that feels familiar and accessible, within the everyday spaces where Malaysians naturally gather,” said Stefano Clini, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia.

Two more dates are locked in:

Sunday, 12 July (8:00 AM)

  • Klang Valley: Everyday Harmony Food City, Puchong, Selangor
  • Penang: Pusat Makanan Dan Minuman YMY, Bukit Mertajam, Penang

Sunday, 19 July (10:00 PM) The grand finale — a late-night World Cup Final live watch party running until 5:00 AM:

  • Klang Valley: Rock Cafe, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya
  • Penang: Eight Heng Food City, Penang

Packages start from RM120.

Win Big, Sleep Smart, Drink Responsibly

Beyond the events, Carlsberg’s broader nationwide campaign runs until 20 July.

Buy six cans or a qualifying bucket deal at retail, and you’re in the draw for an Epson Smart Projector worth RM5,000 or a TNTCO x Carlsberg jersey.

Carlsberg has also launched Extra Time, a web app that nudges fans to track their sleep and wind down properly — a quietly ironic move from a beer brand, but a practical one given the late-night kickoff times.

Spots for the remaining Kopiti.AM events are limited.
