Iconic diecast miniature car brand Tomica has officially launched Southeast Asia’s 1^st permanent Tomica Factory at the Tomica Brand Store.

Located in Toys”R”Us Suria KLCC, the Tomica Factory offers a fully immersive and hands-on experience where visitors can build and customise their own Tomica diecast miniature cars on-site.

The process is simple. Visitors choose three car components (the chassis, body, windshield and seat), hand them to the staff sitting behind the Assembly Machine, and watch as the car is built and tested on the Test-Run Stage in real time.

Look a little closer, and you’ll notice the surrounding Work Desk area has been thoughtfully designed with 3D displays and factory-themed installations, recreating the buzz and energy of a miniature automotive production line. It is an experience that engages visitors of all ages, from start to finish.

We are incredibly excited to introduce the first permanent Tomica Factory outside Japan here in Malaysia. Malaysia has one of the most passionate Tomica fan communities in the region and we wanted to bring this unique interactive experience closer to fans who have supported the brand. The Tomica Factory allows children and collectors to experience creativity, craftsmanship and play in a truly memorable way.

The launch also underscores the long-standing partnership between Tomica and Litt Tak, the official distributor of Tomica products in Malaysia. Litt Tak has played a pivotal role in expanding the brand’s presence among local collectors and hobbyists over the last 41 years.

We are honoured that Malaysia was selected as the first international location for a permanent Tomica Factory. This marks a ‘double first’ for Malaysia. The Tomica Brand Store Kuala Lumpur is the 1st in Southeast Asia and now we are also the 1st location with a Tomica Factory outside Japan.

To mark the momentous occasion, the Tomica Brand Store will also feature exclusive merchandise, limited-edition collectibles, and special promotions for visitors.

A highly anticipated Tomica Brand Store original product, alongside an official Tomica Shop original, will make their official debut in Southeast Asia on 27 June, available for purchase exclusively at the Tomica Brand Store Kuala Lumpur.

The Tomica Brand Store Original is the Nissan GT-R NISMO Special edition (RM49.90), while the Tomica Shop Original is the Honda CIVIC TYPE R (RM39.90).
