This weekend, there are various workshops and exhibits to explore and expand your creativity. Other exciting happenings include a standup comedy show, a dance party, and more markets to shop to your heart’s content.
Drawing Classes for Adults | KL, PJ areas, Online | RM2,000 for 10 classes

If you want to learn to draw or brush up on your skills, artist Shu Ruei is offering beginner-friendly classes for those aged 14 and up. She holds classes in person in KL and PJ areas but also has online learning via Zoom sessions as well. She teaches across a wide variety of mediums, including pen or marker drawing and painting.

Comedy Mixtape is back with a brand-new lineup of material and unexpected punchlines this Saturday that’ll be sure to get you laughing out loud. Busana: Traditional Costumes of the Malay World | Until 12 April | Islamic Arts Museum | 9.30am-6pm | Ticketed entry
The exhibit showcases the shared cultural traditions spanning present-day Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, southern Thailand, and the Philippines. Guests get to explore the intricate techniques that define Malay textile industry, including limar, tenun, and telepuk. It’s also an opportunity to learn and admire exquisite embroidery like sulam, tekat, and kelingkan.
