This weekend, there are various Chinese New Year Markets as well as a focus on wellness and centering your mind with yoga and journaling sessions, and a vision board-making hangout. If you need a good laugh, KL Comedy Corner has something on too!

Golden Spring Market | 8-11 Jan | The Sphere, Bangsar South | 10am-8.30pm | Free public event

The bazaar features various stores selling delicious pastries, handicrafts, clothes, and pampering products. In addition, there are workshops where guests can learn Chinese calligraphy and papercutting, and make Labubu using clay.

Single’s Market | 10-11 Jan | The Arc, IJM Rimbayu | 12pm-10pm | Free public event

In collaboration with Astro, the Single’s Market has a special interactive session designed for singles where they can potentially find their perfect match in a fun and engaging manner. Guests can also enjoy the array of festive food and get their New Year shopping done there.

The First Laugh Is The Loudest | 10-11 Jan | KL Comedy Corner | 9pm | RM40

KL Comedy Corner gathers all the comic geniuses promising a night of great laughs and good vibes. Some of the featured acts of the night include Mikhail, Nigel, Daryl, Arul, Riezman, Nicholas, and Preshant. Remember to get your tickets from Peatix here.

Come on, girls, it’s time to shop and have fun over the weekend. Pasar Gadis once again brings all the vendors together so guests can support their favourite local brands all under one roof.

Pingmin CNY Market | 10-12 Jan | Pingmin Hub | 3pm-11pm | Free public event

Xin nian is in a few weeks so it’s a good time to stock up on snacks and festive decorations that you can find at Pingmin CNY Market this weekend. There’ll be handicraft items, fragrances, and stylish fashionable items too. Best of all, the market is pet-friendly so the furkids can enjoy the day out as well.

KL Book Exchange | 11 Jan | Sunway Velocity Mall | 10.30am-1.30pm | Free public event

Are you planning to give away books? You might be able to exchange them for new books to read at the KL Book Exchange happening this weekend. If you don’t feel like doing an exchange, you’re also welcome to purchase books with all the proceeds going to a charity in need.

Vision Board-making & Mingle | 11 Jan | Triptyk KL | 2pm-5pm | RM150/pax

Start your 2025 right and inspired in this vision board-making and mingling session at Triptyk KL this weekend. Expect meaningful conversations and laughter while you design your vision board with new friends. Come connect with like-minded dreamers, share your hopes and dreams, and get inspired by everyone.

All materials will be provided but you’re free to bring your own supplies to add your unique touches to your vision board. The fee includes free drinks: a choice of an alcoholic beverage or two non-alcoholic sodas. Remember to sign up by filling in the Google Form here.

Ronggeng KL | 11 Jan | Central Market | 8.30pm-10pm | Free public event

Nusantara Performing Arts Research Centre (NusPARC) presents Ronggeng Kuala Lumpur to revitalise the creative and cultural traditions. Guests are invited to “meronggeng” together at Pasar Seni. If you don’t know what to do, there’s a workshop from 6pm to 7pm and the showtime starts from 8.30pm to 10pm.  

Wellness Weekend at KLoe Hotel | 11-12 Jan | KLoe Hotel | RM180/pax

KLoe Hotel is holding a wellness weekend featuring a yoga session, a journaling workshop, and a book swap. On Saturday, Sandra Woo will lead a 75-minute yoga session to help cultivate inner strength, mental clarity, and spiritual endurance.
